Firstly, you have the option to lock your phone manually or set it up so that it locks automatically every time you turn it off. Now, if your phone is locked, you’ll need to enter the unlock code to use it. Even when it’s locked, your phone will still ring or vibrate when you get calls or messages. How to Lock Your Phone Manually

To lock your phone manually, you need to navigate through your phone settings. Here’s how: Go to the main menu (M), then select Settings, followed by Security, and finally click on ‘Phone Lock’ and then ‘Lock Now’.

Unlocking Your Phone

Your phone’s unlock code is initially set to 1234. However, your service provider might change the unlock code to the last 4 digits of your phone number.

Setting the Time and Date

Your phone uses the time and date for the Datebook. It can even synchronize its time and date with the network. If you want to set the time and date manually, first, you need to turn off the Autoupdate option. After that, you can set the Time and Date options. Here’s how you do it:

  1. Go to the main menu (M), then select Settings, followed by Initial Setup.
  2. Next, click on Time and Date, then Autoupdate, and set it to Off.

To set a wallpaper image, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the main menu (M), then select Settings.
  2. Next, click on Personalize, and finally select Wallpaper. This will allow you to choose your preferred image for the wallpaper.

Setting a Screen Saver Image

You can personalize your phone by setting a picture or animation as a screen saver image. This image will display when your phone is on and hasn’t been used for a certain period of time. If necessary, the image will shrink to fit the display. If you choose an animation, it will repeat for one minute, and then the first frame of the animation will display. You have three layout options for your screen saver image:

  1. Center: This option places the image in the center of the display.
  2. Tile: This option fills the display with multiple copies of the image.
  3. Fit-to-screen: This option resizes the image, if necessary, to fit the display.

Here’s how you can set a screen saver image:

  1. Go to the main menu (M), then select Settings.
  2. Next, click on Personalize, and finally select Screen Saver.
  3. Use the ‘S’ button to scroll to your preferred layout: Center, Tile, or Fit-to-screen.
  4. Press ‘SELECT (+)’ to confirm your layout setting.
  5. Finally, press ‘BACK (-)’ to save your screen saver settings.

Dialing International Numbers

Viewing Recent Calls

Your phone keeps track of the calls you’ve recently made and received, even if the calls didn’t connect. These calls are listed from newest to oldest. As new calls are added, the oldest ones are removed. You can quickly view the dialed calls list by pressing N from the home screen.

To view recent calls, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the main menu (M), then select Recent Calls.
  2. Use the ‘S’ button to scroll to Received Calls or Dialed Calls.
  3. Press ‘SELECT (+)’ to select the list.
  4. Use the ‘S’ button again to scroll to an entry.

The symbol ‘\’ indicates that the call connected.

Calling Features

The Last Calls Menu can include the following options:

  1. Store: Create a phonebook entry with the number in the No. field.
  2. Delete: Delete the entry.
  3. Delete All: Delete all entries in the list.
  4. Hide ID/Show ID: Hide or show your caller ID for the next call.
  5. Send Message: Open a new text message with the number in the To field.
  6. Add Digits: Add digits after the number.
  7. Attach Number: Attach a number from the phonebook or recent calls lists.

To use these options:

  1. Press ‘N’ or ‘VIEW (+)’ to call the entry’s number or view entry details.
  2. Press and hold ‘N’ for 2 seconds to send the number as DTMF tones during a call.
  3. Press ‘M’ to open the Last Calls Menu to view the options available for the entry.

Returning an Unanswered Call

When your phone is powered on, it keeps a record of your unanswered calls and displays the number of missed calls. To return an unanswered call:

  1. Press ‘VIEW (+)’ to see the received calls list.
  2. Use the ‘S’ button to select a call to return.
  3. Press ‘N’ to make the call.

Using the Notepad

The most recent set of digits entered on the keypad are stored in your phone’s notepad memory. This can be a phone number that you called, or a number that you entered but did not call. To retrieve the number stored in the notepad, go to the main menu (M), then select Recent Calls, and finally select Notepad.

Attaching a Number

While dialing (with digits visible in the display), you can attach a number from the phonebook or recent calls lists. To do this, press ‘M’, then select Attach Number.

Calling with Speed Dial

Each entry you store in your phonebook is assigned a unique speed dial number. To see an entry’s speed dial number, press ‘M’, then select Phonebook, scroll to the entry, and press ‘VIEW (+)’. To speed dial a phonebook entry, enter the speed dial number for the entry you want to call.

Calling with 1-Touch Dial

To call phonebook entries 1 through 9, press and hold the single-digit speed dial number for one second. Remember, you must specify which phone number list you want to use with this feature: phone memory phonebook or SIM card phonebook.

Using Voicemail

Voicemail messages that you receive are stored on the network. To listen to your messages, you must call your voicemail phone number. Your service provider may include additional information about using this feature.

Listening to Voicemail Messages

The phone calls your voicemail phone number. If no voicemail number is stored, your phone prompts you to store a number. To do this, press ‘2’, then ‘#’, and finally ‘N’.

Receiving a Voicemail Message

When you receive a voicemail message, your phone displays the voicemail message indicator and a New Voicemail notification. The phone calls your voicemail phone number. If no voicemail number is stored, your phone prompts you to store a number.

Storing Your Voicemail Number

If necessary, you can store your voicemail number.
