i. DRIVER INSTALLATION

* WARNING: This set of drivers is for Windows 2000 only. Installing this driver *
* on NT 4.0 will crash the system. *

Please read through all the sections before you proceed with the driver
installation.

1. Please login as a user who has administrator privileges before
proceeding further.

2. Right click on windows desktop and select "Properties".

3. Select the "Settings" tab.

4. Click on the "Advanced" button.

5. Select "Adapter".

6. Click on the "Properties" button.

7. Select Driver.

8. Click on the "Update Driver" button to launch the "Update Device Driver
Wizard" dialog box.

9. Select "Search for a suitable driver for my device" and Click on the
"Next" button.

10. Ensure that "Specify a location" has a check mark and Uncheck the other
options. Click on the "Next" button.

11. Click on the browse button.

12. In the locate file dialog box, Change to the directory where you have
downloaded the driver files. Select "3dbgf.inf" and click on the "Open"
button.

13. Click on the "OK" Button.

14. Ensure that "Install one of the other drivers" has a check mark in
the box. Select Next.

15. Choose the following driver from the list and Select Next.:

16. If you see a "Digital Signature Not Found" dialog box, proceed with the
installation by clicking on the "Yes" button.

17. Click on the "Finish" button.

ii. BLASTERCONTROL LIMITATIONS

BlasterControl only works in 256 colors and above.


iii. SYSTEM COMPATIBILITY ISSUES

1) General

If your system hangs during games, video playback, or 3D
applications, try the following:

a) Ensure that you have sufficient disk space in your hard
drive.

b) Contact the vendor or their website for an update.

c) Reinstall the Creative graphics drivers, this will
ensure that the drivers' preferred settings have been
preserved.

2) Motherboard compatibility with AGP Cards

If you are still experiencing random screen corruption or
system hangs when you run certain games, during video
playback, or 3D applications, you can try the following:

a) Ensure that you have the following suggested settings in
your system BIOS setup:

1. Enable "Assign IRQ to VGA" if possible.

2. Disable "VGA Palette Snoop".

3. Disable "Video BIOS Cache" and "Video BIOS Shadow".

4. Disable "C800-CBFFF Shadow" or similar options.

5. Set AGP Aperture Size to about half the size of
system RAM size.

b) If you have an older LX series motherboard and are
experiencing problems, check with your system vendor to
udate your system BIOS.

c) If you are overclocking your CPU, you might want to
revert back to the original clock settings.

d) The following motherboards were found to have problems
working with the GeForce card. Please contact the
motherboard manufacturer for an update.

Asus P2L97-DS v1.03 (might need motherboard hardware
patch), Gigabyte GA-6BXC rev 1.7, FIC CL31-A, Elite P6LX-
A and Elite P6LX-A+.
