This MPEG-2 Codec will allow you to open MPEG-2 files in TMPGEnc and in MS Media Player, plus a host of other programs

If you can open MPEG-2 files then it installed correctly ...
The installer can be used in command line mode also.
mpeg-2 /s thats the "silent install"
If the MPEG-2 Codec Installer doesn't run then you need the VB6 Runtime DLL's
